Foraging is becoming very popular in the Milwaukee area most notably for the famous but elusive morel and for good reason. Wild foods have tremendous nutritional and medicinal benefits. In this class, we will learn to identify, harvest and prepare burdock which is considered an invasive weed here in Wisconsin but is a culinary delight in Japan where it has been grown commercially for decades and prepared as a tasty side dish. We will harvest and prepare a burdock root during class and get you hooked on foraging! Fee includes supply cost and is non-refundable.

This class is hosted by the Milwaukee Recreation Department. To sign up for this class, click here. Enter code 2RAE5720.
